After two years of construction, the City of Clearwater is preparing to celebrate the official grand opening of its new City Hall on Nov. 16 at 200 S. Myrtle Ave.
The former City Hall location is now home to The Bluffs, a 28-story luxury mixed-use residential and retail tower.
The new City Hall brings multiple city departments together under one roof, making it easier for residents to access city services and attend public meetings.
The building opened in October 2026 and has since welcomed staff and conducted public business. While some finishing touches are still underway, the city will officially celebrate the new facility with a grand opening ceremony on Nov. 16.
The 40,000-square-foot facility was designed by Wannemacher Jensen Architects and constructed by Ajax Building Company at a total cost of $31.6 million, according to the City of Clearwater.
Inside, the building features a public reception area, modern City Council chambers and meeting spaces. An outdoor gathering space will also provide residents and visitors with a place to meet. The pathways and green space will be dedicated in honor of City Manager Bill Horne in recognition of his service.
The new City Hall is one of several construction projects taking place in Clearwater. Other developments in the area include the Ballad Hotel, improvements to Osceola Avenue and multiple parking garages, adding to the ongoing development of the downtown area.
