The Westshore Grand is planning extensive renovations and upgrades following its ownership by Ally Capital Group (ACG). The improvements are intended to enhance the guest experience and support the property's continued growth.
The Westshore Grand is a 325-room, full-service Tribute Portfolio hotel in Tampa's Westshore area. ACG said the renovations will also create opportunities to strengthen connections between the hotel and surrounding businesses.
Planned improvements include renovations to the guestrooms, meeting and event spaces, common areas, and an enhanced food and beverage program.
"The Westshore Grand has been a staple in Tampa's hospitality landscape for years, and we recognize the tremendous opportunity to build upon that foundation," said Grant Werbeck, chief operating officer of ACG, in a press release. "Our focus is on making meaningful improvements throughout the hotel to elevate the guest experience while reflecting the continued growth and energy we're seeing across Westshore."
ACG is partnering with Black Diamond Capital on the planned renovations, bringing together the firms' investment experience and shared vision for The Westshore Grand.
"The Westshore Grand has long been an important part of the Westshore community, and we're committed to restoring its role as a place where people come together," said Andrew Wright, chief executive officer of ACG, in a press release. "We see tremendous potential in this property and are planning significant investments to bring new life to the hotel. We look forward to sharing more details about our vision in the coming months. It's an exciting time in Westshore."
The renovations are expected to take place in phases throughout 2027 and 2028.
The Westshore Grand is not the only property in the area undergoing changes. The 53-acre WestShore Plaza property is also going under redevelopment, as more than $5 billion in infrastructure, transportation and mixed-use development projects are planned throughout the Westshore area.
