Angel Foundation Florida to Celebrate 20 Years With Anniversary Gala

Angel Foundation Florida is celebrating two decades of helping families navigate the challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis, and the organization is marking the milestone with its annual gala on Oct. 9 at The Regent.

VIP doors will open at 6:15 p.m., followed by general admission entrance at 7 p.m.

The 20th anniversary celebration will bring together supporters, volunteers, businesses and families who have been part of the foundation's journey over the past two decades.

For Angel Foundation Florida, reaching 20 years is more than just a milestone. It represents two decades of community members coming together to help families with needs that often go beyond medical treatment.

This year's celebration will center around the number 20, with the foundation incorporating the milestone throughout the event.

The individual gala ticket price has also been lowered to $75, reflecting what the ticket price was 20 years ago.

"This is their main fundraiser that helps support this non-profit," said Liza Garcia with NOW Global. "This is how they sustain themselves because they started as a community organization."

Guests can also buy candles for $20 that will be lit in honor of people they love. The candles will be lit together during a presentation recognizing those who have been affected by cancer and other hardships.

The anniversary gala will serve as the foundation's main annual fundraiser and help support its work throughout the year.

The event will feature a silent auction, sponsorship opportunities and opportunities for guests to donate to the foundation.

The gala will also feature stories from families who have received support from Angel Foundation Florida, giving guests an opportunity to hear directly about the impact of the organization's work.

20 years of "Angels Among Us"

Angel Foundation Florida began as a community organization in Brandon before rebranding about 17 years ago. CEO Liz Brewer has been with the foundation since the start and since then has been working towards finding ways to try and help all families who reach out.

Since then, the organization has continued building its network of "angels" who work directly with families experiencing cancer or other catastrophic circumstances.
