Calore Club brings its MAT360 method and infrared studio to South Tampa

A method built to be its own category

At the center of Calore Club is MAT360, a method founder Alexia Sanfilippo developed and trademarked rather than licensed from an existing franchise. Each class runs 50 minutes and pairs functional strength training with beat-based movement, working large and small muscle groups in a format Calore describes as building lean muscle, improving mobility and supporting long-term joint health. It is set to music from the first minute, closer to a choreographed session than a circuit.

The format runs inside an infrared-heated warm room held between 85 and 88 degrees, a range chosen to warm the muscles without turning the class into a pure sweat session. The effect Sanfilippo is after is a workout that reads as high-intensity yet lands as low-impact, a pairing that has become the studio's core promise and the reason it positions MAT360 as a system rather than a trend.

The founder

Sanfilippo comes to the concept as a former competitive athlete who moved into fitness after her playing days and built MAT360 around a gap she kept seeing in boutique training: plenty of high-energy classes, few that treated intensity and joint care as the same goal. Her framing is experience-first. Calore's own positioning calls it experience-driven fitness redefining the South Tampa workout, and Sanfilippo's stated aim is for members to leave a class feeling stronger and re-inspired rather than simply worn down.

Designed as an experience

The studio is built to carry that idea past the workout floor. The training room is fitted with a custom, first-of-its-kind OBEN HIFI sound system, part of the music-driven structure of every class. Off the floor, a powder room lined with individual vanities, Dyson blow dryers, and luxury freshen-up essentials gives members a place to get ready together.

The locker rooms include showers, a pairing with a heated studio that is rarer than it sounds. A reception area stocks a healthy grab-and-go of food and beverage items, and members can track progress through full body-composition and health metrics. The building carries 300 free onsite parking spaces, an unusual amenity for a South Tampa storefront, and Sanfilippo has framed the room as a community-focused space as much as a training floor.

Opening day and founding memberships

Calore Club opens September 15 at 212 N Rome Avenue, with class times running daily from 5am to 8pm. Ahead of the opening the studio is enrolling founding members at a rate that closes August 31, two weeks before the doors. For a South Tampa neighborhood already dense with ways to work out, Calore's wager is that a single, well-built method and a space designed to be enjoyed will stand out more than another room full of options.
