Calore Club has an opening date. The South Tampa boutique fitness studio at 212 N Rome Avenue opens September 15, closing out a build that has been visible to the neighborhood since spring. The more immediate date is the earlier one: the founding membership rate that has carried the studio through construction closes August 31, a full two weeks before anyone takes a class.
Two dates, in the wrong order
Most studio launches put the deadline after the opening, when a prospective member can walk in, take a class and decide. Calore has run it the other way. The founding rate closes on August 31 and the doors open September 15, which means the decision belongs to people buying on the strength of the room, the method and the founder rather than on a trial class.
That is a deliberate structure. Founding members are the studio's first roster, and Calore has framed the rate as a lifetime one: it holds for as long as the membership stays active, rather than converting to standard pricing after an introductory window. The standard unlimited rate is $249 a month. The founding rate is $159, secured with a $99 deposit that is applied in full to the first month.
What the founding rate carries
Beyond the monthly difference, the founding tier bundles a set of perks the studio has said will not be offered again at this price. Members get unlimited MAT360 classes, two guest passes each month, priority booking, and ten percent off retail and events. The tier also includes a year inside Fillir Member Society, a $250 value that runs discounts at the med spa neighboring the studio, plus access to the grand opening.
The method itself is the studio's own. Founder Alexia Sanfilippo developed and trademarked MAT360 rather than licensing an existing franchise, and Calore describes it as functional strength training set to music in an infrared room held between 85 and 88 degrees, built to feel high in intensity while staying low in impact. Classes run 50 minutes, daily from 5am to 8pm. Off the training floor there are locker room showers, a powder room of vanity stations with Dyson dryers, full body composition tracking, and 300 free onsite parking spaces, which is not a small detail in that stretch of South Tampa.
The room is finished
The renderings the studio released this month show a space closer to a members club than a gym floor: a travertine reception wall carrying the brand mark, a wood panelled entry hallway lit by globe sconces under a painted botanical ceiling, and a training room where a custom OBEN sound system stands against mirrored walls and patterned parquet. The full background on the method and the build is in our launch feature from July.
For a neighborhood already dense with ways to work out, Calore's wager has been that a single well built method and a room worth being in matters more than another wall of options. September 15 is when that gets tested. August 31 is when the people who believed it early stop being able to say so at this price.
