The Tampa Convention Center (TCC) has won the Gold Medal for Best Convention Center for the fourth consecutive year at the 10th Annual Stella Awards.

The Stella Awards recognize excellence in the meetings, trade show and events industry. The awards honor convention centers, hotels and suppliers that consistently provide high-quality service, innovation and operational excellence.

“Winning the Stella Award Gold Medal for four consecutive years is all because of the Center’s dedicated staff, our trusted service partners, and our city,” said David Ingram, executive director of the Tampa Convention Center, in a press release. “This recognition reinforces our position as a world-class venue where meeting planners can bring their vision to life with complete confidence. We remain committed to elevating the event experience for every planner, exhibitor, and attendee who walks through our doors.”

This year’s winners were selected from nearly 8,000 votes and a record 1,167 nominations, according to Northstar Meetings Group.

Finalists competed across 16 categories and six regions worldwide. Nominees were selected through votes from meeting planners, followed by an evaluation from a panel of Northstar editors.

The TCC was also selected for a top regional honor based on overall excellence, venue design, integrated service model, sustainability and green initiatives, staff professionalism and logistics support.

The convention center is also celebrating more than 320,000 attendees and an estimated $149 million in local economic impact.
