Brian Petruzzi is opening a second Anthony & Luca's Pizza Kitchen at 7032 W Waters Ave in Tampa this fall, crossing Tampa Bay from the original at 4687 Park Blvd in Pinellas Park. The expansion marks the first Tampa location for a concept Petruzzi launched after selling a prior pizza chain he had grown to 40 units and relocating from Philadelphia to Florida in 2022.
The concept is built around East Coast regional specificity — not a single unified pizza style, but a menu that treats New York slices, Jersey boardwalk pies, and Sicilian deep dish as separate formats. Jersey pies are built cheese-first with sauce on top, the method that distinguishes them from New York-style builds. Cheesesteaks run on Cooper Sharp and ribeye, the combination standard to Philadelphia and South Jersey shops.
The sourcing program is the most operationally specific element of the concept. Dough is made in Brooklyn using New York municipal water, which the operator cites as the basis for the New York-style slice program. For the cheesesteak program, rolls are flown in from Philadelphia: Sarcone's and Amoroso, two of the city's traditional bread producers. Both are named in the operator's Instagram announcement of the Waters Ave opening, front-loaded before the address itself — the caption leads with provenance, not the location.
The specialty pie roster includes The Piggy Figgy, built with fig jam, bacon, and goat cheese. The operator's Instagram is running the opening announcement as a lead-capture post — "Comment 'NEWS' for the full story" — with full menu detail promised ahead of the fall opening.
