The hospitality group behind Michelin-starred Rocca and Streetlight Taco opens Lumbre, a wood-fired Spanish concept, at the Rome Collective development in North Hyde Park on July 15. The launch marks the group's third concept and its first in Spanish cuisine, per the operator's Instagram announcement.
Executive Chef and co-founder Nick Orr leads the kitchen. Orr trained at Le Bernardin — the three-Michelin-star Manhattan restaurant — a credential the operator highlights in the Lumbre positioning. At Lumbre, the hearth anchors a menu of sharing plates: Iberico pork, whole fish, and Gulf Coast seafood make up the primary protein program, with a Spanish wine list and Mediterranean cocktails completing the offering. The operator describes the approach as "ingredient-driven plates built for sharing."
The new concept extends a portfolio that already carries Michelin-level credentials. Rocca holds a Michelin star, establishing the group's standing in the fine-dining tier; Streetlight Taco operates as a distinct format under the same ownership. Lumbre's wood-fired Spanish focus adds a third lane — one defined by a different culinary geography and a sharing-plate structure that differs from either predecessor.
With the July 15 date announced via Instagram, Rome Collective in North Hyde Park gains a concept backed by a group with an existing Michelin star and a chef who trained at the three-Michelin-star Le Bernardin. Whether Orr's background carries visibly into the Spanish hearth format is what the opening weeks will answer.
