Pura Vida Miami is coming to Midtown Tampa, per the brand's Instagram — marking the all-day café chain's first Tampa location and its third outpost in Florida overall.
Founded in Miami in 2012 by a husband-and-wife team, Pura Vida has expanded to roughly 50 locations nationally. The concept runs on a wide-ranging all-day menu: breakfast, grain bowls, salads, grass-fed steak, wild seafood, pressed juices, and smoothies. The Tampa arrival follows two existing Sarasota-area locations, extending a Florida strategy that has so far concentrated on the Gulf Coast's mid-market.
At Midtown Tampa, Pura Vida will join CorePower Yoga as a confirmed co-tenant in the mixed-use development — a pairing that reflects the wellness-adjacent retail profile the project's ground floor has been building. Midtown Tampa, the 22-acre development near the I-275 and Dale Mabry interchange that opened in 2021, has attracted a mix of national chains and regional operators across its retail corridors, and an all-day health-forward café fits the tenant composition the project has been assembling.
No opening timeline has been announced. The operator's Instagram framed the Tampa location as forthcoming without specifying a target date, so the debut remains on an undetermined schedule.
For Pura Vida, Midtown represents a step into a larger urban market — Tampa's daytime office and residential density offers the kind of volume that sustains an all-day café format through breakfast, lunch, and afternoon. Whether the brand pursues additional Tampa Bay locations will depend on how the Midtown outpost performs against a Sarasota base built over the past several years.
