Nugget Party Time, the Tampa event crew behind Wub Island, is staging its Nugget Rodeo at Sunset Rodeo, 302 S Howard Ave, on Saturday, October 3, noon to 8 PM. General admission is $20, with every ticket including 10 chicken nuggets and access to a custom sauce station.
The eight-hour program runs on a published schedule: free line dancing lessons at 1 PM and 5 PM, a live band from 2 to 5 PM with DJs covering the rest of the window, and a best dressed contest — red and yellow, country style — at 3:30 PM. Competitive programming includes a mechanical bull with a live leaderboard, nugget wrestling, and a spicy nugget eating contest. The event is open to attendees 18 and older; the bar is 21+.
Nugget Party Time's Instagram describes this as Tampa's first Nugget Rodeo. The organizers previously produced Wub Island under the same brand.
A ticket giveaway — five tickets total, split as two pairs and one single — closes tonight, Friday, October 2 at 8 PM; winners are drawn at random and notified by email. Entry is through the operator's Instagram; no purchase necessary. Attendees must be 18 or older.
The event runs at Sunset Rodeo through 8 PM Saturday. Whether the Nugget Rodeo returns to South Howard or expands elsewhere has not been announced.
