Joke WRLD Fest, the debut festival from the Joke WRLD comedy collective, is scheduled for August 14 and 15 in downtown St. Pete, with the collective's Instagram announcing 75-plus comedians, 22 hours of stand-up, and programming distributed across four venues within walking distance of one another.
Coastal Creative at 2201 1st Ave S serves as festival headquarters, with shows extending to three satellite rooms: Steep Station, Off-Central Players, and Spitfire Comedy House. Running four simultaneous venues allows a 75-person-plus comedian roster to avoid the scheduling compression of a single main stage.
The named lineup includes Greg Fitzsimmons, Sam Tripoli, Joe DeRosa, Jeremiah Watkins, and Maddy Smith. Per the collective's Instagram, the two-day program also includes roast battles, more than ten live podcast tapings, and a Comedian Home Run Derby at Campbell Park — the last of those pulling programming out of the theater circuit entirely.
Spitfire Comedy House and Off-Central Players are established St. Pete performance spaces; their inclusion as satellite venues means the festival is distributing programming into existing rooms rather than building temporary stages. Per the collective's Instagram, this is Joke WRLD's first festival production — making August 14–15 both a debut and a proof-of-concept for the format.
Full ticketing details and a complete schedule had not been released at the time of this report.
