HAEVN, the matchmaking network founded in Tampa, has begun matching its hometown members quietly and ahead of schedule — the announced October 1 official launch is still days away, but Tampa members have already received more than 100 Matches and Recommendations, per the operator's Instagram.
The timing carries a pointed irony. HAEVN debuted in Austin, not Tampa, accumulating more than 500 Matches and Recommendations there before the hometown rollout began. The Tampa soft-open is being distributed via what the operator calls the Monday text — members receive their matches at the start of the week, a cadence that the network is now extending to its founding city for the first time.
The product is a deliberate departure from app-based dating conventions. Members don't swipe or browse profiles. Onboarding centers on a single 15-minute survey; HAEVN's algorithm scores compatibility across five areas, and a Match is generated only when two members clear an 80-percent threshold. The structure is built to limit volume in favor of signal — the threshold is the product's primary differentiator, and it's what distinguishes a Match from a lower-confidence Recommendation.
Joining is free. The paid tier, HAEVN+, is priced at $199 for six months and unlocks names, photos, and direct messaging with matches. The operator hasn't publicly elaborated on the pricing rationale, but the tier system positions HAEVN between no-cost swiping apps and the higher entry point of traditional, human-run matchmaking services.
