Green Bench Brewing is reviving Beer Garden Movie Nights for October, running four consecutive Wednesday screenings of Halloween titles at its taproom at 1133 Baum Ave N in St. Petersburg. The series opens Oct. 7 at 7:30 p.m. and continues through Oct. 28, free and open to all ages, with the taproom pouring through every showing.
The lineup is structured as a deliberate escalation. Beetlejuice leads Oct. 7 as the only PG-rated night in the series — Green Bench's caption describes it specifically as "the only PG night," and the brewery is positioning it as the family-accessible entry. The following three Wednesdays move into R-rated territory: Scream on Oct. 14, Scary Movie 2 on Oct. 21, and Friday the 13th on Oct. 28. Green Bench is advising parental discretion for those three evenings.
The beer garden format stays low-barrier — chairs, blankets, and outside snacks are all welcome. The taproom will pour through the duration of each film, making the setup as much an outdoor hang as a screening.
Beer Garden Movie Nights is a returning series for the Baum Avenue taproom rather than a debut; October's Halloween programming marks its seasonal reactivation. The run closes Oct. 28 with Friday the 13th, the final Wednesday of the month.
