Drip Botanical Tea & Coffee has opened its fifth Tampa Bay location at 4901 38th Ave. N in North St. Petersburg, expanding a multi-beverage format that spans conventional coffee service and the alternative-wellness categories that have proliferated across the region in recent years.
The café's menu covers coffee, botanical teas, yerba mate, kava, kratom, and CBD and THC products — a range that positions the shop as both a morning-coffee stop and an evening alternative-wellness destination. Hours run daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to the operator's Instagram.
The North St. Pete space is also being programmed as a community venue, with live music, game nights, happy hours, and other recurring events on the weekly calendar. That programming layer is consistent with how kava- and kratom-adjacent cafés have built loyal customer bases across Tampa Bay — competing on atmosphere and schedule rather than foot traffic alone.
This marks Drip's fifth Tampa Bay café, per the operator. The 38th Ave. N address sits in a residential stretch of North St. Pete historically defined by neighborhood-service retail rather than destination food-and-beverage. Drip's arrival suggests continued operator confidence in lower-density St. Pete corridors where programming is the primary traffic driver.
No dates for additional locations have been announced. The near-term watch is whether Drip's event-forward model takes hold in a corridor that doesn't yet have an established café culture anchoring it — and whether the combination of a long daily window and a diversified beverage program is enough to build the repeat-visit habit the format depends on.
