Absolution Fest takes over Tampa Orpheum at 14802 N. Nebraska Ave. for three nights beginning Thursday, Oct. 1, with more than 18 bands from four countries on a bill produced by Communion After Dark and Endoxa Booking, according to the festival's announcement. The run continues through Saturday, Oct. 3, with doors at 6 p.m. each night.
The international reach is the defining feature of the lineup. Zanias and XTR Human make the trip from Berlin; Vioflesh comes in from Santiago; Ayria arrives from Toronto. 00tz 00tz holds the sole local slot on the bill, appearing Saturday as the one Tampa act across the full three-night run.
Thursday opens with Bootblacks, XTR Human, Klack, Octavian Winters, Protokoll 19, and Faustan. Friday's card brings Zanias, Male Tears, The Sweet Kill, Hallows, Astari Nite, Normoria, and Blood Handsome — seven acts and the longest single-night lineup of the three. Saturday closes the festival with Aesthetic Perfection, billed on an old-school set, alongside Ayria, Panic Priest, Vioflesh, Negative Format, 00tz 00tz, and genCAB.
Six DJs rotate across all three nights in addition to the live acts. The event is all-ages with free parking on-site; tickets are sold through Absolution Fest.
The Orpheum sits on North Nebraska minutes from USF. Saturday's closing program, which puts the Berlin, Santiago, and Toronto bookings on the same night as 00tz 00tz, is where the festival's four-country scope concentrates most fully — and where the three-night run comes to a close.
