The Haunting takes over Strandhill Public, the family-owned Irish pub at 309 W. Palm Ave. in Tampa Heights, from Oct. 1 through Nov. 1. The concept is billed as the first Halloween-themed project from the operator behind Miracle, the Christmas pop-up bar, per the operator's Instagram.
Strandhill runs as an Irish pub the other eleven months of the year; the bar takes its name from a seaside village on the Irish coast. For October, the space trades that identity for jack-o'-lanterns, vintage décor, and a horror-movie aesthetic.
The cocktail menu carries five named drinks: Widow's Whisper, Scream-sicle, and Poison Apple, with Liquid Lobotomy and Clown Pear-anoia rounding out the list. Spirit-free versions of every drink are available. Collectible glassware is included. Reservations are required for the full run.
The Haunting marks the Miracle operator's first Halloween concept. The Tampa Heights location places the pop-up inside a neighborhood Irish pub rather than a higher-volume entertainment district — a different setting than most seasonal bar concepts find. The run closes Nov. 1.
