Reverie Room, a genre-sorted independent bookstore with a built-in bar, is planned to open later this month at 655 31st St. S in St. Petersburg's Warehouse Arts District, according to the operator's Instagram. The space is organized into themed rooms covering new releases, nonfiction, fantasy, romance, sci-fi, classics, and children's books.

The name is a concept statement: "reverie" translates to being pleasantly lost in thought, a disposition the operator has built into the floor plan. Dividing the shop by genre room — rather than running a single alphabetized floor — shapes how a browser moves through the space and gives each section its own atmosphere.

The bar came with the space. Per the operator's Instagram, existing bar infrastructure stays intact, and the program will pour wine and beer. That element positions Reverie Room as a social space as much as a retail one, extending the natural dwell time beyond a standard browse.

Programming is planned from launch: book clubs, craft nights, author events, and audiobook walks on the Pinellas Trail. The Pinellas Trail is a paved multi-use path that runs through the Warehouse Arts District, and the walk-based programming ties the shop directly to a corridor that draws regular foot traffic from cyclists and pedestrians throughout the week. Few independent booksellers open with a trail-linked outdoor series already on the calendar.

Reverie Room's late-September opening adds a retail-and-programming anchor to a district that has attracted artists, makers, and small creative operators over recent years. The author event series and craft night schedule will be early indicators of how far the concept reaches beyond the book floor itself — and whether the Pinellas Trail walks become a recurring draw or a soft-launch item that quietly disappears from the calendar.
