That outdoor program gives the restaurant two distinct settings: one oriented toward the park grounds, one facing the New River directly.
At 6,140 square feet of interior alone, the enclosed room is sized for both à la carte service and event-style bookings, with the full nearly-300-seat capacity spread across both components. Huizenga Park already draws consistent foot traffic as a venue for outdoor concerts and civic events, giving a permanent full-service restaurant a built-in draw on programmed days and a function on the quieter stretches between them.
The operator's Instagram frames Sweetwaters as Broward County's first restaurant built directly inside a park — a claim that, if accurate, positions the concept as a new site type for the county.
