That nearly 90-year provenance connects the address to at least two prior tenants and now anchors an outdoor courtyard concept with a 250-person capacity.
The property centers on what the operator calls the Original Bar Shack — a 200-square-foot structure housing a 15-seat tropical cocktail bar. From that anchor, the program extends across the grounds: food stalls distributed throughout the property, cornhole and foosball, and screens for games and movies. The bar footprint is compact by design; the courtyard is where the scale lives.
The site's lineage is part of what the operator is selling. Before Upper Eastside Hangout, the address was The Anderson. Before The Anderson, it was Magnum Lounge. The 1937 license ran through both prior tenants, and the new operator is framing the opening around that continuity — per the Instagram announcement, the concept positions itself as "old Miami history, reworked for a new generation."
Little River has drawn independent bar and hospitality concepts in recent years, and a 250-person outdoor courtyard adds meaningful capacity to that mix. No formal grand-opening date was specified in the operator's announcement.
