The Restaurant People, the Fort Lauderdale hospitality group behind YOLO, Boatyard, and S3, is converting the former Mango's space at 904 E. Las Olas Blvd into NAIA, a Mediterranean and Asian-inspired concept. Per the operator's Instagram, the opening is planned for October 2026; no details on the kitchen team, interior design, or square footage have been released alongside the announcement.
The move brings one of Broward's more established multi-concept operators to one of Las Olas's best-known addresses. Mango's held that corner as a nightlife-forward entertainment venue; The Restaurant People's existing Las Olas presence — YOLO operates on the boulevard — and waterfront track record with Boatyard suggest the group is at home in high-visibility, high-traffic formats. NAIA represents their entry into Mediterranean-Asian territory, a pairing that has held up well in South Florida's coastal market over the past several years.
904 E. Las Olas sits toward the eastern end of the restaurant corridor, closer to the intracoastal than the denser mid-boulevard retail stretch. The Mango's address carried strong name recognition but was oriented around late-night programming; replacing it with a dinner-forward concept shifts the operational profile of the corner considerably.
The Restaurant People has not detailed NAIA's menu structure — whether it integrates both culinary traditions through a unified format or separates them into distinct sections — nor has the operator named a culinary lead. Given the group's prior projects, an announcement on those fronts is likely before October.
An October 2026 opening would land NAIA at the start of South Florida's fall-to-winter season, when the region's most closely watched restaurant openings tend to cluster. Further details on design, pricing, and reservation format will signal how much runway remains on the buildout.
