Ivy's, an upscale waterfront restaurant, is planned for the former Salt7 space at Icon Las Olas, directly along the New River in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. The announcement came via the operator's Instagram, which did not name an ownership group, a chef, a design team, or an opening date.
The location is specific: Salt7 occupied a New River-facing position inside Icon Las Olas, a mixed-use development on the Las Olas dining corridor. Per the operator's Instagram, the site is walkable to the stretch of restaurants and nightlife along Las Olas Boulevard, as well as to existing residences in the district.
Beyond the name and setting, Ivy's remains largely undefined. The operator describes the concept as upscale, with direct waterfront access to the New River. No square footage, seat count, menu, or confirmed opening window has been released.
The next disclosures worth watching: a permit filing or lease assignment at the Icon Las Olas address would clarify how far along the project actually is. The former Salt7 footprint is one of the more prominent riverfront spaces on the corridor, and the pace of its activation will indicate whether Ivy's is under active development or still in early planning stages.
