Fogo de Chão is converting Wynwood Marketplace into a 12-day World Cup fan zone from June 12 through June 24, according to the brand's Instagram. The free activation includes daily match watch parties, live DJ sets, food activations, wellness events, a farmers market, and a championship tailgate finale on the closing day — a broad enough program to function as both an evening viewing destination and a daytime draw.
The Brazilian churrascaria chain is positioning the Wynwood run as the neighborhood's primary tournament destination. The Instagram post describes it as "World Cup headquarters" for Wynwood, a frame that plays directly off Fogo de Chão's South American identity. For a brand built on tableside rodízio service and Brazilian meat culture, aligning with the world's most-watched soccer tournament is a natural extension of the brand's positioning.
Wynwood Marketplace, the open-air complex on NW 2nd Avenue, provides the outdoor footprint for large-screen setups, a farmers market, and live DJ programming. The venue sits at the edge of Wynwood's gallery district and draws consistent foot traffic on evenings and weekends — the same windows when group-stage matches will be broadcasting.
Miami is one of 11 U.S. host cities for FIFA World Cup 2026, with matches scheduled at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. The 2026 edition is the first under the expanded 48-team format, and the group stage runs throughout June before knockout rounds begin in early July. Fogo's June 12 start date — one day after the tournament's opening match — puts the activation in motion from nearly the first whistle.
Per the operator's Instagram, watch parties are free and run daily throughout the 12-day window. The wellness programming and farmers market suggest the operator is building a full-day operation rather than a venue that turns on for kickoff and goes dark otherwise.
The activation closes June 24 with what the operator calls a tailgate finale. Quarterfinal and semifinal matches — the stages that will draw the broadest viewership — are scheduled for July, after this run ends. Whether Fogo de Chão moves beyond the Wynwood Marketplace footprint for later tournament rounds has not been announced.
