Veho Hospitality Group, the team behind Tacos del Cartel, announced plans to open Tragos Amargos — a hi-fi listening bar — inside its Taquerías Carnalito location at 301 Clematis St. in West Palm Beach. According to the operator's Instagram, the concept pairs a dimly lit listening-bar environment with vinyl playback and a cocktail program built around Mexican spirits. The projected opening window is late 2026 or early 2027.
The West Palm Beach move is an expansion rather than a debut. Per the operator's Instagram, both Taquerías Carnalito and Tragos Amargos are at their second locations here — meaning Veho Hospitality has already run both concepts in another market and is now bringing them together under a single Clematis Street address. Tacos del Cartel, the group's established concept, puts the operator squarely within the Mexican-inflected hospitality lane that Tragos Amargos extends to the cocktail side.
The listening-bar format builds a room around high-fidelity audio equipment and a physical record collection. The operator describes the atmosphere as dimly lit, with vinyl music and an agave-forward cocktail list — Mexican spirits as the primary category. The speakeasy model, which situates a bar within an existing business rather than as a standalone, carries a practical advantage: Carnalito's kitchen is already on site, letting Tragos Amargos run as a drink-first program without a separate food build-out.
