Talkin' Tacos, the Miami-based birria concept that built its South Florida following through social media attention and late-night foot traffic, announced plans to open a Boca Raton location before the end of May, according to the brand's Instagram account. No street address has been disclosed.
The Instagram post describes the expansion as "official," though no permit filing or signed-lease documentation has been referenced publicly. Per the announcement, the Boca location will carry the brand's full menu: birria tacos, ramen birria, cheesy quesadillas, loaded platters, and aguas frescas — the same format that generated the lines and the social-media imagery that drove the brand's early growth in Miami-Dade County.
Talkin' Tacos built its concept around presentation as much as product. Its birria format — counter-service with heavily styled cheese-pull shots and oversized platters — was designed to travel online, and it did. That approach has proven durable across the South Florida birria category, where a cohort of regional operators have competed for both the lunch window and the late-night segment. Talkin' Tacos positioned itself at the more theatrical end of that market.
Boca Raton marks a northward step for the brand, whose visible footprint has been concentrated in Miami-Dade. The Palm Beach County dining market has absorbed a number of Miami-origin concepts in recent years, particularly along high-traffic commercial corridors, though the brand has not identified which part of Boca it is entering. Without a confirmed address, it is not yet clear whether the location targets the Mizner Park corridor, the Federal Highway strip, or a suburban retail center.
The timeline — "later this month," per the Instagram post, with today being May 23 — implies an opening window of days, not weeks. Whether a confirmed address follows before that date, and whether this Boca outpost is the first of several Palm Beach County locations, remains to be seen.
