CityPickle is opening Boca Paddle in Boca Raton this fall — a $20 million, 100,000-square-foot facility built around racket sports, recovery, and dining, according to the operator's Instagram announcement.
The club's total court count is 25, with 14 indoor pickleball courts, a covered stadium court, and 6 padel courts comprising the announced breakdown. The facility also includes a recovery suite with saunas and cold plunges, a pro shop, and Farmer's Table, a full-service restaurant and bar.
At 100,000 square feet and $20 million, Boca Paddle is sized well beyond a neighborhood club. The operator's announcement describes it as "more than a place to play, combining competition, recovery, food and social space under one roof" — a programming model that treats court time as one component of a longer visit rather than the whole of it.
The court mix reflects two distinct racket sports. Pickleball dominates at 14 indoor courts, while 6 padel courts bring in a sport with a fundamentally different format — enclosed, glass-walled, with walls in play — and a player base that overlaps only partially with pickleball's. The covered stadium court adds a separate capability: a venue for tournaments and spectator events that operates beyond the daily membership rotation.
South Florida has drawn sustained racket sports investment in recent years, with pickleball generating new club concepts alongside conversions of retail and industrial space. Padel has followed with its own wave of U.S. openings, particularly in markets with strong Latin American and European ties. A facility at 100,000 square feet that bundles both sports with recovery and full-service dining represents a step up in scale from most of what the region has seen.
